NADIA PARDY, CD, REAL ESTATE BROKER
My approach to Real Estate in the Ottawa Valley has been and continues to be one of community and military awareness, continuous education and top notch service. Preferring to benefit from the vast knowledge of seasoned Real Estate Professionals, I chose in class locations at Toronto, Brampton, Peterborough and Ottawa (rather than correspondence) when obtaining both my Ontario Real Estate Salesperson License and more recently my Ontario Real Estate Broker License. I also have a Business Diploma from our local campus of Algonquin College. I view learning as a lifelong pursuit and am continually furthering my education through various courses and other venues.
I have served over 18 years in the Canadian Forces as a Resource Management Support Clerk, during which time I experienced many House Hunting Trips, Moves, and Real Estate Transactions. I will be familiar to many Canadian Forces Personnel from working at the Signals Squadron, Base Personnel Selection, CEFCOM, LFDTS and other Canadian Forces Bases in various administration and finance positions that I occupied during my military career. What might be of particular interest to military clientele is that I worked in the Reception and Despatch Section prior to the implementation of the Integrated Relocation Program (IRP), and was there to assist my chain of command to iron out the processes once the IRP was implemented. I have also had several moves under the CFIRP. I have had overseas deployments and imposed restrictions as a service member, and also being a military wife, have experienced staying behind with the family while my husband deployed; not an easy task.
How well do I know the Ottawa Valley? My parents came to the Ottawa Valley when I was five years old and we stayed in this area until I was half way through high school. I returned to the Ottawa Valley a few years later and stayed a few more years until I joined the military and then got posted back to Petawawa for my first posting. My final posting in the military was also Petawawa. I have lived in the area (Whitewater Region , Pembroke, Laurentian Valley, Admaston Bromely and Petawawa areas) for more than 25 years. Since I have attended both public and separate schools, and my children have attended French Immersion (General Lake), French School (École Secondaire Jeanne Lajoie) and English School (Bishop Smith) I am quite familiar with the area school systems.
My husband is a former member of the Canadian Forces Medical Branch who currently works with disabled children and is pursuing education towards a new career. We are the proud parents of two daughters and three canines. When I’m not working or catching up with family and friends, I enjoy curling, scrap booking, card making or simply spending time in the community and in our wonderful Ottawa Valley outdoors.
